15 May 2024 - Mall of Qatar inaugurated Al-Maha Art Exhibition, a vibrant celebration of Qatar's rich and diverse culture, showcasing creative designs from esteemed educational institutions: Qatar International Primary School, Qatar International Secondary School, American School of Doha, Preparatory School BH, Sherborne Preparatory School AR, Sherborne Qetaf, QFBA-Northumbria University, CUC Ulster University, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, Step One International school, and the talented artist Mehdi Nabavi.
The launch was celebrated in the presence of representatives from the participating educational institutions, the talented students, along with their families and friends, and Mall of Qatar’s management team. With a focus on the iconic Arabian Oryx, Qatar's national animal representing beauty and resilience, the students' artworks brilliantly amplified these qualities with their profound creativity, infusing each piece with joy and elegance.

Yahya, a student from Qatar International School, demonstrated remarkable dedication and creativity as he shared his excitement for the project, saying: “We really enjoyed coming to work on the oryx! We had so many ideas that we wanted to add into our design, and we talked a lot about how to combine all our ideas together. We love that our oryx has fun patterns to represent the diversity here in Qatar”.
Simran Santosh Kadam, a student at CUC Ulster University, expressed her happiness with the final Oryx design, a product of collective effort, saying:“Bringing together nature and technology in this art project was truly a work of passion and perseverance. It required dedication and hard work from everyone involved and we’re proud of the meaningful result”.
The organization of the exhibition is driven by Mall of Qatar's support for social initiatives that foster creativity, innovation, skill development, and the preservation of Qatari values and traditions. Amir Cup Final to be Broadcast and Raffle Draw for the "Pick and Choose" shopping festival to be held
Doha, Qatar, 16 December 2020: Mall of Qatar is marking Qatar National Day with a series of cultural and entertainment activations that celebrate the spirit of the nation and its people, all while taking precautionary measures to maintain the safety of visitors.
The Nation’s Mall will shine bright with its spectacular decorations and artistic light displays. Its façade will carry projections celebrating Qatar with the flag colors, while the Mall’s oasis and hallways will have stunning decorations reflecting various aspects of the Qatari culture including camels, dhows, pigeon towers and much more.
Starting 17 December, the Nation's Mall will present the "Flag Museum" which documents Qatar's Flag progression from its birth until its current state. screens accompanied by sound and visual effects will educate and entertain visitors about the history of the flag and the country it represents. Visitors can visit the Flag Museum on the ground floor next to Pari Gallery. It will be part of the Mall's community initiatives that aim to raise awareness of Qatar history in order to educate the country's new generation.
Appreciating arts and culture, Mall of Qatar organized the annual School Art Competition under the theme “How Does Qatar 2022 Look Like to You?” to encourage students to show their talent a in creative way. A total of 16 schools have participated and will present 20 pieces of arts, with the winners to be announced on 21 December by a dedicated judging panel that includes Qatari artists.
On 18 December, fans will gather onsite to watch the final match of Amir's Cup taking place at the adjacent Al Rayyan Stadium - one of FIFA 2022 stadiums. For those who don't have the chance to watch the match in the stadium, Mall of Qatar will broadcast the match live on the giant screens at the Oasis Stage. Moreover, visitors can enjoy delicious meals in the surrounding restaurants.
While the weekly raffle draw of “Pick and Choose” shopping festival will take place on Thursday evening on a BMW 320 car, the raffle draw for the second grand prize will be held Friday at 4:00pm of 18 December, with one lucky winner will drive away with a luxury BMW X7.

Addition of 10 weekly prizes allowing customers win Mall of Qatar Gift Cards
Doha, Qatar, December 1, 2020: Mall of Qatar management handed today four new cars to the winners in the "Pick & Choose" shopping festival, in a special handover ceremony attended by Mall of Qatar management team along with media representatives.
The lucky winners took home four premium cars: Mr. Ysamel Montoya won a BMW 218i, Mr. Mohammed Al-Dosari won a BMW X2, Mr. Fahed Daoud Dehnim won Mini Cooper, and Mr. Saad Mohamad Al-Marri won a BMW 320i.

Doha, Qatar, September 2020: Mall of Qatar is welcoming young guests to its premises while taking the utmost precautionary measures to ensure the safety of youngsters and community, in accordance with phase 4 – stage 1 instructions of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions in Qatar.
Reiterating its commitment to the safety of visitors of all ages, the Nation’s Mall took all the precautionary measures needed to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and comfortable visit. The court is open to diners with a maximum capacity of 30% with 2.5 meters distance between the tables to maintain social distancing requirements, undergo ongoing sanitizing for the tables, trays after each use with designated cleaners at all times to keep continuous hygiene. At the same time, security personals arrange queues at the food court outlets to preserve a safe distance while waiting for their food.
According to the instructions, playgrounds and leisure centers will remain closed while cinemas are open to guests over 18 years with limited capacity.
In addition, the prayer rooms for both males and females are now reopened with a limited number of worshippers at one time. Mall of Qatar is providing the prayers with a single-use disposable prayer mat and conducting regular disinfection procedures at the prayer rooms after each prayer to secure the highest levels of hygiene.
With the reopening of Doha Metro lines with a limited capacity, guests can visit the Mall in the green line again. The Mall formed a checkpoint in the metro bridge at the exit of the metro, where visitors will undergo temperature checks by advanced thermal cameras and show their Ehitraz APP green code to ensure safety.
Mall of Qatar urges all visitors to follow the instructions at the entrances, to ensure the safety and health of visitors, employees, and tenants. Customers can also collect face masks and gloves from the customer services desks if required. Throughout the mall corridor and hallways, more than 70 hand sanitation stations have been installed, allowing visitors to sanitize their hands regularly. Besides, the Mall installed 80 handrail UV Sanitizers to periodically sanitize the handrails of the escalators and protect customers while moving in the Mall.
