MOQ Rising Stars 2026
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before registering for the competition.
1. Event Overview
MOQ Rising Stars 2026 is a youth talent competition designed to promote creativity, artistic excellence, cultural appreciation, and community engagement in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The event celebrates young performers across Qatar in music and live performance within a safe, inclusive, and family-friendly environment.
2. Eligibility โ DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS - 1st OF JUNE 2026
The competition is open to children within the following age categories:
- Category 1: 6โ8 Years
- Category 2: 9โ11 Years
- Category 3: 12โ16 Years
Participants can enter in both categories, but only one entry can be submitted at a time:
- Solo Singer - will need to sing in English
- Solo Musician

4. Performance Requirements
- All performances must not exceed 2 minutes.
- Digital Piano and Electric Drum kit will be provided.
- Solo musicians using instruments other than the Piano and Drums, must bring all required instruments and equipment.
- Backing tracks must be provided on a USB โ MP3 format
- Solo singers may choose to perform with a live instrument if preferred and in English.
- Performances must be suitable for a family audience.
5. Parent / Guardian Responsibility
- A parent or guardian aged 18 or over must accompany participants at all times during auditions, rehearsals, and performances.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring participants arrive on time.
- Parents/guardians must notify organisers of any medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility requirements prior to participation.
6. Photography and Video Consent
- By registering for the competition, parents/guardians consent to photography, videography, and media coverage during the event.
- Mall of Qatar reserves the right to use photographs and video footage for promotional, marketing, website, press, and social media purposes.
7. Judging Panel
Performances will be judged by a panel of professional musicians, performers, and educators.
Preliminary Round Judges
- Ms Aysha โ Pianist and music educator with over 20 years of international teaching experience.
- Ms Natalie โ Professional pianist and international music educator.
- Mr David โ Professional musician and live performance specialist.
Semi-Final Judges
- Ms Sneha โ Pianist and teacher specialising in Arabic and Western music.
- Ms Dina โ Singer, pianist, and music educator.
- Ms Sandra โ Piano, vocal, and music theory specialist with over 15 years of experience.
Grand Final Judges
- Dr Nasser Sahim โ Deputy Executive Director of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
- Ms Merve โ Founder and Artistic Director of the CineMoon Ensemble.
- Ms Sonia โ International concert pianist and Steinway Artist.
- Mr Kiko โ International cellist and chamber musician.
- Ms Anna โ Vienna-trained opera singer and vocal specialist.
Judging Process
- 30 participants will be selected from auditions for the Semi-Finals.
- 18 participants will progress to the Grand Final.
- 6 winners will be selected during the Grand Final.
- The judgesโ decisions are final.
8. Competition Prizes
Main Prizes
A total cash prize of QAR 5,000 will be shared among the 6 winning participants in the finals
Additional Winner Opportunities
Winners will also receive:
- A professional recording studio experience in September 2026
- A mentoring and performance development workshop with industry professionals in September 2026
- Various gifts on the finals
9. Conduct and Participation
- Participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally throughout the competition.
- Any form of bullying, inappropriate language, discrimination, unsafe behaviour, or disruption may result in immediate disqualification.
- Mall of Qatar reserves the right to refuse or withdraw participation where conduct is deemed inappropriate.
- Submission of a registration form does not guarantee progression into later stages of the competition.
10. Child Safeguarding and Welfare
- Event organisers are committed to ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Participants must remain supervised by a parent/guardian unless otherwise instructed by event organisers.
- Any safeguarding concerns will be addressed immediately in line with event procedures and Mall of Qatar policies.
11. Health and Safety
- Participants and guardians must follow all instructions provided by event staff and Mall of Qatar management.
- Organisers reserve the right to pause, delay, amend, or cancel activities where necessary for health and safety reasons.
- All timings are subject to change.
12. Cultural Respect and Content Guidelines
- All performances, costumes, choreography, and music selections must respect the culture, traditions, and values of the State of Qatar.
- Any content deemed offensive, inappropriate, political, or culturally insensitive may result in disqualification.
- Organisers reserve the right to request modifications to performances where necessary.
13. Intellectual Property and Music Rights
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use any backing tracks, arrangements, or musical content where required.
- Mall of Qatar and event organisers are not responsible for copyright claims relating to participant-selected material.
14. Liability
- Mall of Qatar and event organisers shall not be held responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, costumes, or instruments.
- Participation in the competition is at the participantโs and guardianโs own risk.
15. Force Majeure
Organisers reserve the right to amend, postpone, or cancel the competition due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including government regulations, public safety concerns, emergencies, or force majeure events.
16. General Information
- Mall of Qatar reserves the right to make amendments to schedules, competition rules, venues, or event formats where necessary.
- By submitting the registration form, participants and parents/guardians confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms and Conditions outlined above.
